Don’t dry-line,  Lime-Line or hemp-Lime

Conventional drylining is extremely bad for old masonry buildings           FOR OTHER INSULATION OPTIONS SEE OUR INSULATION CENTRE

It is a totally unacceptable solution because it Causes many more problems than it solves
It is a largely a cosmetic solution, hiding the damp problems
It moves the dew point from the wall surface to the cold wall behind the dry lining, dramatically increasing condensation.

The phenomena is known as interstitial condensation, which means condensation that occurs within the fabric of the wall or roof, IE between or within the layers of materials

Over time this will be a source of mould and fungal growth which is both unhealthy and very smelly. So this is mould and fungus inside your walls and roof.
Feels good and warm for 5 years, after that you get to smell it.
