OldBuilders is restoring and converting the existing farm buildings and former
bakery for use by the owner as an organic centre. All works are being
done with an ecological approach using eco friendly materials and methods
where possible, including the use of local and native timber, sheep's wool
insulation etc.
This job
will involve repairs to stone walls, installing new breathable floor
substrata and limestone
slabs. Exterior Lime render patching. Window repairs and
replacements. New Roof and rafters reusing existing slates. Installing new
period style hand made doors.
Copper gutters supplied by owner are to be installed. Chimney's
repaired and re-pointed and other exterior works. Inside installation and
or restoration
of windows and frames, lime plaster work, stone work etc. Also
the complete restoration of the former bakery as a dining and kitchen
facility, installation of floors and joists, lime rendering walls,
installation of doors, ceilings, sheep's wool insulation and other works.
