Dates from the 18th century. Built as coastal defence by British forces during Napolionic wars when an invasion by the French was expected to assist the Irish Rebels before and after 1798.

Job Description: External conservation work, protection from water penetration through walls, replace Lime Mortar rendering. Comprising of stone patching, Lime mortar rendering of external walls and re-pointing of wall/roof capping stonework. Existing cut stone machicolation over door will not be rendered.
